How waiver collection works in Playvent

Signing happens from a text

Each family gets a text with a link to their camper's waiver. It opens in the phone's browser, they read it, type their name, and sign. That's it: nothing to download and no account to create.

Use our standard waiver, or your own

Playvent includes a standard camp waiver you can require as-is. If your camp has its own waiver, upload it as a PDF. Playvent turns its fields into questions parents can answer by text, fills in the PDF, and the parent signs the completed document from their phone. You keep the signed PDF.

A record of every signature

Each signature is stored with the signer's name, the phone number they signed from, and exactly which version of the waiver or document they signed. When someone asks "did the Taylors sign?", the answer is on your board, not in an inbox search.

Reminders go only to families who haven't signed

Set a due date and Playvent handles the follow-up: a text a week out, then three days, the day before, and the due date, plus one past-due notice. The moment a parent signs, their reminders stop. Anyone still unsigned after that is flagged for you to call.

Works next to your registration system

You don't need to move registration to collect waivers this way. Import your families from a spreadsheet exported from the system you already use, then share a Playvent invite. How do I know who still hasn't signed?

What if a parent never signs?

Is a texted e-signature legally valid for our camp?

That depends on your waiver and your state. Playvent records who signed, from which phone, and what they signed, but your counsel should confirm your waiver's enforceability.
