Frequently asked questions

Do parents need an app or login?

No. Parents register, sign forms, and get updates by text. The only "interface" they need is the messaging app already on their phone.

How do forms work?

Upload your existing PDF (health form, waiver, photo release). Playvent texts each parent a link, collects required fields and a typed signature, and returns a signed PDF to your dashboard.

How do payments work?

You set the amount (tuition, deposit, or any line item). Playvent sends each parent a payment link by SMS, and they pay from their phone (Apple Pay, Google Pay, card). You see paid/unpaid status in the dashboard. Powered by Stripe—payouts go to your bank.

What happens when parents reply?

Replies are auto-classified (registration, RSVP, question, urgent issue, acknowledgment). Items needing staff attention surface in red—routine replies stay in the background.

What does $29 per session include?

Registration, forms, payments, updates, and the attention dashboard—all of Playvent's core features. Starter covers up to 20 campers. Standard ($99) covers up to 100. SMS is included with fair use. Stripe processing fees pass through at standard rates.

Can parents opt out?

Yes. Parents can reply STOP at any time. You can see subscription status per contact in the dashboard.
